Making a wish into the stone
Giving life with a Gold fish is called, “Japanese Gold Fish”.
Fish swimming slowly
and gracefully, I drew the gold fish on the stone
It expresses Japanese beautifully, with simplicity of dignity. I hope my
creative works can be understood and shared throughout
the artistic world.

・About my art
Q: Can you tell me about materials you use for your art?
A: I use acrylic paint. You could choose any canvases, but the canvas I have chosen is the stone that is believed that the God lives from the ancient times in Japan.This type of stones are very special and often used for the Japanese garden pond ‘Suhama’ (Suhama : designs with wavy pattern) at the New Palace in the Imperial Palace where the Japanese emperor lives or Sentō Imperial Palace in Kyoto. They are not the only places that are used, but also everywhere in the world where the authentic Japanese garden ponds are. *I use the stones that are hand-picked one by one on the Shichirimihama beach.

・Inspiration and ideas
‘Clear and empty your mind’ is my base in my painting without getting influences from my own ideas or sensitivities. There is no need to have background on the stone base -art. I put ‘my entire soul’, ‘my feelings’ and ‘my wishes’ into the goldfish on the stones. I purposely do not draw to resemble the goldfish. I would rather like you to enjoy the art with your unrestricted views. That is why I have made it simple as possible. In another word, you could say it ‘The Creative goldfish’.　I would like you to feel ‘happiness’ and ‘joy’ from this work. That is my idea.
・About productivity
The amount of time to finish the work varies from the sizes. It takes about one to two hours to complete a goldfish which is smaller than7 cm. It depends on products how long it takes to finish it, as every single product is my original. It can take one day to one week, or even more to complete the set of several goldfishes.Warning: They are not waterproof products. It loses the colour.
